Intradco Global was pleased to organise the first ever transportation of pigs between the UK and the Republic of Congo. The transport took place on the 28th of October and consisted of 105 Purebred Gilts and 3 Purebred Boars, weighing 6 tonnes in total.
The pigs departed from London Heathrow (LHR), UK and travelled to Maya Maya Airport (BZV),Republic of Congo before being transported to their new home on a newly established farm to be used for breeding.
To ensure the smooth loading of the pigs, Intradco Global’s Hayden Edwards, Dane Riecker, Zac Carroll and Charlie Baker were all present at Heathrow Airport.. Intradco Global takes the comfort and safety of all its passengers seriously and is always on on hand to make sure the animals are well cared for.
Transporting large numbers of livestock such as pigs requires extensive planning to ensure the operation runs according to plan and without delays. Intradco Global’s experts plan each charter down to the smallest detail to ensure that the right equipment is available, the right stalls are used and correct food and bedding is provided.
