Intradco Global flies over 800 genetic breeding pigs to China
Intradco Global recently transported 871 genetic breeding pigs to China from North America, the first animal air charter of its kind in 2022. This comes after a year-long hiatus in the export of genetic breeding pigs to China. The pigs departed from Chicago in 2 B747-400F aircraft and arrived safely in Kunming.
Transporting such a large number of pigs comes with many challenges, all of which the team overcame using their years of experience and expert knowledge. With COVID-19 rules and strict quarantine policies in place, the team had to make sure that all the documentation was correctly prepared. There were also the issues of fuel prices increases and aircraft availability to take into consideration, however, the team arranged everything without any hitches or delays.
The pigs travelled in custom-built livestock transport creates that feature a hybrid watering system. This essential equipment means that the pigs stay cool, comfortable and hydrated during their journey.
The Intradco Global team in Chicago, comprising Erica Resendes, Zac Carroll, Evgeny Kapustin and Charlie Baker, did a fantastic job ensuring everything went smoothly and ran to schedule. They ensured the safe loading of the pigs and took care of them until the flight departed.
