Introducing Sara Havers, Cargo Account Manager – Equine & Operations at Intradco Global.
Sara has been with Intradco Global for 7 years. Her role involves organising all elements of our equine charters and movements on scheduled flights, from point of contact with the client to final delivery worldwide!
At times this can be for just one horse on a single aircraft, up to as many as 75 horses on a full charter and anything in between. One thing remains the same, regardless of how many horses are travelling – Sara is dedicated to providing the best experience for her clients, human and otherwise. She explains, “Clients are paying for a VIP service, so they expect the best. The attention to detail must be 100% on point at all times, and sometimes I am juggling 3 or 4 flights simultaneously, so focus is important. I enjoy the complex nature of each charter.”
It is this level of service that makes Sara so successful; “Client retention is important in this industry. If you look after them and do a perfect job, then they will return again and again – I have built up a very good client base over the years.”
Sara feels lucky to have made a career that encompasses her two passions, aviation and horses. It is 21 years since she entered the industry, and during that time has had too many memorable flights to list! However, some always stand out for her. She says, “Flying racehorses is always exciting, and we have flown many successful runners including Breeders Cup and Epsom Derby winners. Flying horses for the Olympics is also a lot of fun when you then see them competing on a global stage”.
For Sara, each day is varied and exciting. She concludes, “Every flight is different, the parameters change minute by minute, and there is always an aspect of keeping the balls (horses!) in the air!”
